S.O.S 2009 Thoughts“I give my hands
to do your work”
It is a good feeling seeing someone change and grow over the course of 10 days. I also learnt new skills such as taking apart furniture. SaraServing. The idea not to look at the work as such or what I have done but to concentrate myself on the people who need help and serve them.

What have you got out of the programme?
More confidence and better feeling in myself.
The chance to talk to others and getting involved more.
Matt
I think the S.O.S programme changed my point
of view of others, of serving and of the world.
I learned that we don’t need to do everything
but all we should do should be done in love.

After 3 days full of work I started to get really tired and in this moment I needed God and the whole time I was working I was praying to him to give me the strength to do his work. KatarinaMy best experience was at Savio House where
the work was so hard and tiring. But then we
turned on the music and it felt better. The sun
was shining and everyone was happy.

I enjoyed all of the moments when we were together, like hiking up to White Nancy at Savio House, chatting in the evening and also the prayers. That’s when I could see God in each person. Pavla Fantastic memories!!
It certainly beats lying
on the beach in summer!!

For me the best experience was community.
We were people from all over the world who came together to
create a great atmosphere. We were interested in others, helping
each other, praying together, laughing together, a feeling like haven.
These 10 days have been fantastic.
